The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) has refreshed its online platform to intelligently connect you to relevant events, funding, thought pieces and specialist staff to help your business innovate and grow.

Once you have selected your interests, using our intelligent tagging system, we will then display rich and relevant content related to your area, often from surprising sources.

The move also marks a closer alignment with our main funder, Innovate UK , with the website branding making a clear visual link. The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) is holding a series of events in March 2012, to showcase cutting edge technologies and capabilities in Data Transformation that can be utilised by industry.

What is Data Transformation?

For the NERC events, Data Transformation is defined as the technologies and techniques used to develop environmental knowledge and data for use in commercial or societal applications. It covers but is not limited to:

  • Data Assimilation,
  • Data Interpretation,
  • Data Visualisation,
  • Data Fusion, and
  • Data Modelling & Simulation techniques.
