KTN's online platform helps you to make the connections you need

 

The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) has refreshed its online platform to intelligently connect you to relevant events, funding, thought pieces and specialist staff to help your business innovate and grow.

You can discover content using your area of interest, from sustainability to transport; from space to health – all major UK economic sectors are covered. Once you have selected your interests, using our intelligent tagging system, we will then display rich and relevant content related to your area, often from surprising sources.

An example might be new satellite technology from the space sector that is applicable in the agri-food sector. KTN-UK.co.uk will help you form these unusual and valuable connections.

All content on the platform has been carefully curated by our team of innovation specialists – not by an automated algorithm – so you can be confident that KTN is connecting you to the most relevant cutting-edge information.

 

The move also marks a closer alignment with our main funder, Innovate UK , with the website branding making a clear visual link. Knowledge Transfer Network is Innovate UK's innovation network partner, and also works with other funders to provide innovation networking services and fulfil our mission to drive UK growth.

Get Satisfaction

New feedback mechanism for _connect members!

Observant KTN members may notice that there is a new Feedback tab to the right hand side of the _connect site.

The Technology Strategy Board (who provide the _connect platform for the KTNs) are always keen to hear feedback from users (good and bad) but know that sometimes it’s hard to do that when you are in the middle of another task.

Get Satisfaction

The new facility, powered by Get Satisfaction, allows logged-in users to ask a question, report an issue, give praise or make a suggestion for how to improve _connect through a tab on the right hand side of the screen that offers a pop-up when you click on it.

If Get Satisfaction recognises the point you are making, it offers you an option to link your point to an existing one or offers you an answer from the FAQ section of _connect. 

If well-known companies such as BT, Microsoft, Amazon and Spotify get satisfaction from using Get Satisfaction from their logged in customers, then you can too!

The Technology Strategy Board intends to run this feedback trial for two months initially and then review it, so do log in and use it to make your thoughts known!
