Who is funding this? Technology Strategy Board and Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV)

What is the challenge? Accelerating the commercialization of low carbon vehicles, specifically in four technology areas:

1. energy storage and energy management

2. electric machines and power electronics

3. lightweight vehicle and powertrain structures

4. development of technologies that have the potential to radically improve a vehicle’s CO2 emissions or improve the overall efficiency compared to the current best-in-class vehicle or system.
