The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) has refreshed its online platform to intelligently connect you to relevant events, funding, thought pieces and specialist staff to help your business innovate and grow.

You can discover content using your area of interest, from sustainability to transport; from space to health – all major UK economic sectors are covered. Once you have selected your interests, using our intelligent tagging system, we will then display rich and relevant content related to your area, often from surprising sources.

The move also marks a closer alignment with our main funder, Innovate UK , with the website branding making a clear visual link. £15m Civil Nuclear power supply chain competition

Transport KTN members involved in materials design and manufacture, condition monitoring, NDT/NDE, modelling and sensors/instrumentation may find this competition of relevance and a great chance to break into new markets.

Brokering events

The Technology Strategy Board, in partnership with the NDA, DECC and EPSRC has announced a £15m competition to support the UK's civil nuclear supply chain.

The competition formally opens on 2nd July 2012. However, in order to help potential applicants form partnerships and share ideas, the Energy Generation & Supply KTN are organising three brokering events in May which are aligned to the different themes of the competition.

Event dates

24th May: Decommissioning & Waste at Penrith, Cumbria

29th May: Condition monitoring, NDT, instrumentation & control and 'open' theme in Central London

30th May: Advanced manufacturing, construction and maintenance and Materials and Modelling at Manchester
