Funding available from Agri-Tech in China: Newton Network+

Overview

Agritech in China: Newton Network+ (ATCNN)

The ATCNN is funded by the UK government through the Newton Fund, which has been setup to strengthen research and commercial partnerships between the UK & China.  The ATCNN seeks to apply the UK’s expertise in enabling technologies around satellite imaging, remote sensing, smart sensors, robotics and data-intensive science to deliver solutions to China’s diverse farming communities.  The ATCNN Management Board is made up of representatives from Rothamsted Research, the University of East Anglia, Reading University, Edinburgh University and Scotland’s Rural College, and is partnered with the Chinese Agricultural University in Beijing.

The ATCNN is pleased to announce a special mission to China from Nov 4-14 2016, detailed below. The China Yangling Agricultural Fair (http://www.agri-fair.com/english/index.html)

 

Applications are currently invited for Pathfinder and Proof of Concept Awards.

The next application deadline is: 12:00 (GMT), 31 October 2016.

The call is open to applications from UK partners only, but they encourage Chinese organisations interested in this to make contact with their UK networks and be proactive in jointly developing concepts for proposals.
