Defra seeks your input to help create a regulatory environment where innovation can flourish

Defra, the Department for Enviroment, Food and Rural Affairs, invites your participation in an online dialogue on Regulation & Innovation

Defra is seeking input from businesses and business networks which are regulated by Defra and its agencies*, to find out how Defra could do more to help create the right regulatory environment for innovation to flourish. The results of this exercise will inform Defra’s Regulation & Innovation Plan, which will provide assurance that the regulatory framework is working effectively to support innovation.

(* This includes the work of the Environment Agency; Natural England; The Forestry Commission; The Rural Payments Authority (RPA); Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA); Veterinary Medicines Directorate; The Marine Management Organisation; Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS); and The Drinking Water Inspectorate.)

The deadline for responses via the website is Friday 8 January. However, email responses and any questions can be directed to until Friday 22 January
