Opportunities for the chemicals sector under Innovate UK’s grant funding programme

By Caroline Channing

The recording and slides are now available from the recent Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) webinar to provide innovators from the chemicals sector with an update on opportunities for the chemicals sector under Innovate UK’s Grant Funding Programme.

This webinar, which was orgainsed by the KTN's Chemistry and Industrial Biotechnology (IB) Team, highlighted:
  • which Innovate UK competitions may be relevant to the chemicals sector
  • the benefits of grant funding and how it can help grow your business
  • how the KTN can help you make the most of these funding opportunities

The webinar featured a presentation by David Randall, R&D Manager, Chemoxy International Ltd on a grant winner's perspective.

Key sources of funding

The Chemistry and IB Team have also created a handy one-page summary of the key sources of grant funding available for business-led innovation for the chemical-using industries.  It includes funding available through the EU, as well the UK on a national and regional basis.

Note, grant funding competitions come and go each month and each competition will have different selection/ funding criteria. As such, the grant funding system is complex to navigate. Please contact KTN for free support & advice on which funding competition is most appropriate for you and who might be suitable innovation partners.

KTN can also provide advice around alternative financing and funding options (e.g. private or corporate investment).

This document will be updated on a regular basis.
