KTN's online platform helps you to make the connections you need

The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) has refreshed its online platform to intelligently connect you to relevant events, funding, thought pieces and specialist staff to help your business innovate and grow.

You can discover content using your area of interest, from ICT to transport; from space to health – all major UK economic sectors are covered. Once you have selected your interests, using our intelligent tagging system, we will then display rich and relevant content related to your area, often from surprising sources.

An example might be new satellite technology from the space sector that is applicable in the agri-food sector. KTN-UK.co.uk will help you form these unusual and valuable connections.

All content on the platform has been carefully curated by our team of innovation specialists – not by an automated algorithm – so you can be confident that KTN is connecting you to the most relevant cutting-edge information.

The move also marks a closer alignment with our main funder, Innovate UK , with the website branding making a clear visual link. Knowledge Transfer Network is Innovate UK's innovation network partner, and also works with other funders to provide innovation networking services and fulfil our mission to drive UK growth.

We link new ideas and opportunities with expertise, markets and finance through our network of businesses, universities, funders and investors. From agri-food to autonomous systems and from energy to design, KTN combines expertise in all sectors with the ability to cross boundaries. Connecting with KTN can lead to potential partners, horizon-expanding events and innovation insights relevant to your needs.

Join the UK Space Agency at the Global Space Congress, Abu Dhabi

The Global Space Congress http://globalspacecongress.com/ is a strategic gathering of global space industry leaders taking place in Abu Dhabi in January 2017. An unrivalled platform to promote the worldwide industry of space, the Congress brings together key public and private stakeholders to evaluate the biggest opportunities in the space sector and to get exposure to the world’s most vibrant and energetic new space programmes. The Global Space Congress is where space policies are defined and strategies developed; where new applications for space technology are showcased and the development of highly skilled technical workforces to support national development are promoted. It hosts discussions and initiatives that will have a practical and lasting impact on the overall development of the space sector in the Middle East and globally.

The Congress is an important gathering of the global space industry and has grown from the Global Space and Satellite forum, with five previous events in support of emerging space markets.

The UK Space Agency has organised a UK Pavilion at the exhibition that accompanies the GSC, securing a prime location in the centre of the exhibition hall. The UK pavilion will be comprised of individual UK space company stands centred around a central UK Space Agency stand. Those registering through the UK Space Agency will receive a 10% reduction for stand package costs and 20% reduction for registration costs.

Separately for SMEs, the UK Space Agency will be organising a small trade mission to the GSC helping fund travel and registration costs for one person from each registered company. For all attendees, we will work with UKTI to facilitate meetings and networking opportunities where possible.

It you are interested in joining exhibiting as part of the UK Pavilion or joining the UKSA trade mission please contact Laura Bocarro, UK Space Agency laura.bocarro@ukspaceagency.bis.gsi.gov.uk
