The Research Instrumentation Sub-group:

The Research Instrumentation Sub-group is here to foster communication and interaction between users and suppliers of research instrumentation and research facilities.  Our membership includes academia, industry and government organisations such as ths Research Councils and Technology Strategy Board.

We are here to unite people with common interests, whether it be research, procurement, collaboration or otherwise, and promote interaction amongst our community.  In the past there have been perceived barriers limiting interaction between academic facilities and industry.  Part of the Research Instrumentation’s objective is to reduce these barriers by helping our members find the right contacts to collaborate with, enabling the UK to access the best expertise available, whether it be user or supplier.
