Established and endorsed by the Government and the Technology Strategy Board, the RAS SIG is uniquely placed to inform, organise and advise on future feasibility studies and demonstrator competitions.
During its first quarter of operation, the SIG helped scope a £1M competition for feasibility funding in autonomous service robotics. Recent output from the 'deep-dive' roadmap workshop will help shape further funding activities around intelligent transport solutions.
The RAS SIG will work with the Technology Strategy Board and UKTI to promote UK industry, for example organising international trade missions, giving small UK companies the opportunity to understand how RAS technology is successfully developed and commercialised in overseas markets.
Working alongside funding bodies such as the Technology Strategy Board and EPSRC, the SIG will also actively promote funding opportunities and assist applicants with locating collaboration partners.
