Why should you join the Photonics Group?
Reasons to engage
Our members have access to the latest developments in photonics technology. They will be guided to work with their regional partner associations linking them to the best UK scientific and manufacturing facilities to form collaborative research consortia and find the funding for growth. Members are able to form online debating groups to formulate the future of photonics technologies in a secure forum with like-minded people. Through our activities in Photovoltaics, Plastic Electronics, Ultra-efficient Lighting, Optical Communications, Advanced Imaging, Industrial Photonics, Biophotonics and Healthcare, Photonics Components, Emerging Display Technologies and Display Applications and Emerging Photonics Technologies the KTN provides opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and technology transfer.
Access to information
The Photonics Group portal has a section that provides an active search mechanism to allow members to find and link to other members to collaborate on the very latest technological innovations and form collaborative partnerships. The portal allows users to set up their own specialist discussion groups to fully debate and explore market needs and individual requirements.
The Photonics Group and other ESP KTN network groups help link businesses and academics on routes to funding, assist with applications for financial support and help set up consortia for R&D projects.
Regular events, conferences and online meeting tools provide an opportunity to meet new customers or partners and to find alternative routes to develop and commercialise technology.
