Novel Technologies for Food & Nutrition
This event will focus on how novel technologies, including nanotechnologies, can be used to enhance the nutritional value of food by adding nutrients at various stages of the food supply chain.
This event, the sixth in a series of events co-organised by the NanoKTN and Leatherhead Food Research, and more recently the Biosciences KTN, will focus on how novel technologies, including nanotechnologies, can be used to enhance the nutritional value of food by adding nutrients at various stages of the food supply chain.
This event will be of significant value to all those interested in the development and manufacture of food products and especially those who are seeking ways to enhance the nutritional value of food. Future needs will be shared and speakers from academia and industry will present their current work with opportunities for discussion and one to one interactions with leading experts in the field.
In addition, with the projects from the second ‘Nutrition for Life Competition’ due to start in late 2013/early 2014, the meeting will provide a chance to hear about the Technology Strategy Board’s activities in the food sector.
