The move also marks a closer alignment with our main funder, Innovate UK , with the website branding making a clear visual link. Deadline Extended for Grant Applications to NanoMission Japan 2012

Applications are still invited from UK companies to join the NanoMission Japan 2012 to the major international nanotechnology conference and exhibition, ‘nano tech 2012’ in Tokyo, Japan on 15th-17th February 2012. The deadline has been extended until Friday 13th January 2012.

 

‘Nano tech’ Japan is the largest nanotechnology event in the world featuring nano materials, nano fabrication technology, evaluation & measurement, applied nanotech for IT & electronics, biotechnology, and the automotive field. More than 500 companies are expected to take part in the exhibition, with over 50,000 delegates expected. The NanoKTN is supporting the development export markets especially important for UK manufacturing companies during challenging times.

 

The Mission

  • The mission theme is Nanomanufacturing and will comprise attending and exhibiting at Nanotech Japan 2012
  • The mission will meet national and company trade delegations and contacts.
  • Delegate companies will be encouraged to take an exhibition stand (UKTI TAP grant can be applied for)
  • Delegates will be required to contribute to the post-event report and provide feedback.

How to Apply
Applications are invited from UK companies with a nanotechnology offering relevant to electronics, nanomaterials, sensors and instrumentation. Successful delegates will receive free attendance at nano tech 2012 exhibition and conference and literature space on the UK stand.

 

A travel grant of up to £500 will be available for UK based SMEs* to join the Mission. Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis to assist with the cost of travel, hotel accommodation, and other expenses. The grant will cover 50% of these costs, with a maximum grant of £500 available to each company.
