SUT In-Depth: Subsea Power Beyond Current Limitations

SUT In Depth is a series of collaborative, high-level technology events which will address specific ocean, subsea and deep water industry issues and challenges.

Each event will bring together the best minds and expertise – both management and operational – to address a selected area of technology in a relaxed and more informal setting.

The first of the series, Subsea Power Beyond Current Limitations, aims to innovate and seek solutions to progress the development of subsea electrical power to enable and secure the future of underwater operations.

It will be highly participatory and forward looking with a strictly limited number of attendees based on their experience and involvement in this specialist area.
Attendees will be asked to come prepared to contribute their knowledge and experience to further the development of this technology.

Topics for Subsea Power Beyond Current Limitations include:
 Electrical power requirements. Leaders: Rob Perry, FMC and Edouard Thibaut, Total
 Subsea power equipment – eg VSDs, transformers, switchgear. Leaders: Michael Scroggins, BP, Bjoern Rasch, Siemens and David Liney, Shell
 Connectors and cables. Leaders: Steinar Midttveit, Statoil and Svend Rocke, GE
