  • Innovation Vouchers - A grant of up to £5000 is available to businesses to work with a supplier for the first time and is used to pay for knowledge or technology transfer from that supplier.
  • SMART awards - Funding to assess the commercial viability of innovation projects in high growth potential SMEs.  There are three types of grant: Proof of concept, proof of market or development of prototype
  • Knowledge Transfer Partnerships - Grants to allow businesses to work in partnership with universities.

NERC Summer of Science - Public engagement for NERC's 50th anniversary

NERC is inviting applications from researchers to deliver public engagement activities as part of the 'NERC Summer of Science' taking place during the summer of 2015.

The deadline for applications is 17:00 on 26 January 2015.

Background To mark its 50th anniversary in 2015, NERC will be supporting a series of events and activities to engage the public with its research. NERC's Summer of Science will take place across the UK, enabling the public to encounter NERC research in a range of venues during the summer months of 2015. Funds are being made available to support, develop and deliver this.

Aims The aims for NERC's Summer of Science are: to engage the public with research that NERC has funded to raise the profile of NERC and the science NERC funds.

Eligibility and conditions To be eligible to apply for this funding, you must currently have funding from NERC or have received NERC funding within the past five years. The activity must be based upon research that NERC is currently or has previously funded.
