Putting mathematics to work at the heart of business
Industrial Mathematics shorter KTPs, (IM-sKTPs) are part Government-funded postgraduate internships that offer exciting opportunities for companies to solve a business problem by working in partnership with leading academics and students from UK Universities. The programme places a current UK-based PhD student into a company for a period of between 3 and 6 months, to carry out a stand-alone project that develops or exploits some capability in industrial mathematics.
This Industrial Mathematics sKTP scheme is closing to new project applications on 31 March 2013. This decision is a result of the strategic review of KTP that took place during 2012. In future, KTP will focus on projects lasting 6 months and upwards. Therefore if you have a short project that you would like to start over the next few months please note that the final date on which we will accept Expressions of Interest from companies seeking an academic partner is 15th February 2013. This is to enable companies to have a reasonable chance to find a student and academic partner and submit a good application by 31st March.
