Ofcom consultation : Promoting investment and innovation in the Internet of Things

What actions are required to ensure the UK takes a leading role in the emerging IoT? Good question. If you're reading this you've probably got a few ideas and suggestions that Ofcom would like to hear. It's launched a consultation which, as you'd expect, covers Spectrum, Network (security, resilience, data privacy) and Device Connectivity issues but also extends to Digital Literacy, big data exploitation and International developments. You can volunteer your definition of IoT - and suggest other aspects that need to be considered to secure the UK's position going forward.

No paper required, you can send an email or use a web form. All the details - including a good diagrammatic overview - can be found here. Make sure you get your responses in before the 1 October 2014 deadline!
