The impact on innovation in UK transport of the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics

Will London face melt-down?

There has been much speculation about how London will cope with the additional burden of up to 3million additional passenger journeys per day on peak days during the Olympics.

Guest posts on the Transport KTN

Next month, we will start a series of guest posts on the Transport KTN's Intelligent Mobility group, about the UK's response to the transport challenges of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

What's happening?

These posts will encompass a variety of Olympic-related transport themes covering a wide range of topics from transport integration, movement management, data and intelligence, travelers' tools, and social media.  The articles will start in March with the run-up (sorry about the pun!) to the Olympics, and the final one is planned for October, with a review and appraisal of how it all went.

Don't miss out

Make sure you tune in (and follow us @transportktn on Twitter) to get an insight into the innovative solutions, successful implementation and – almost most importantly – the legacy for transport that these Games bring to the UK.

If you would like to feature as a guest blogger on the Transport KTN, we'd love to hear from you! Please get in touch with your proposal by emailing Tessa Darley.
