Sensors for mobile devices

Location, detection and sensing systems play a large part in transport and travel, from the customer end, eg enabling accurate journey planning, from the supplier end, eg freight and logistics and from a service provider end, eg non destructive testing and analysis.

You may be interested in this short report on the UK-based activities in sensors for mobile devices, commissioned by the Electronics, Sensors, Photonics KTN.

What's in it?

The report introduces the current situation of sensors for mobile devices, who is manufacturing them and how they are implemented, who the UK participants are and which technology area they are active in.

The report also contains information on the possible future directions and the barriers to entry and concludes with the possible approaches ESP KTN could take to benefit the community.

From the findings of the research ESP KTN will be organising an event on Sensors and Mobile Devices planned to take place towards the end of this year.

Please join the Sensors and Instrumentation group, and then you will be able to download this very useful and informative report.
