KTN is, once more, a media partner for Frost & Sullivan’s Intelligent Mobility Future Business Models In Connected And Automated Mobility workshop and conference, the eighth edition of its Intelligent Mobility event, this year on 28 and 29 June at The Jumeirah Carlton Tower, on Sloane Street, London SW1.
Intelligent Mobility 2016 promises demonstrations of the latest developments in the Intelligent Mobility sector, and to spark lively debate, and a lineup of high-level speakers.
Since it was first held, Frost & Sullivan’s Sarwant Singh noted, “we've witnessed mobility as a topic adapt from predominantly new powertrain and electrification of vehicles, to dedicated new mobility vehicles (often micro mobility) and incremental services that can be offered to attract customers that may not need to own a private vehicle, beginning a blurring of the lines between public and private transportation.”
Two-fold impact of new mobility services and autonomous functionality
Sarwant Singh states in his introduction to the event that he believes 2016 to be the year of continued large scale investments and partnerships between the automotive sector and mobility services, through venture capital arms and the core functions of financial services and business innovation in particular.
“The mobility ecosystem is evolving quickly and continues to attract significant investment in 2016.” meaning, “we are moving ever closer to a fully integrated multi-modal mobility network, allowing customers to choose their transport based on the best way to get from A to B rather than a single dimensional approach through the use of private cars.
First & Sullivan goes so far as stating it would place a bet on car manufacturers achieving full autonomous functionality in the next decade; a market it estimates to have revenue potential rising from $10 billion in 2020 to over $65 billion in 2030.
On Day 1, on 28 June 2016 (By Invitation Only), Frost & Sullivan is hosting a debate in the Houses of Parliament, involving Parliamentarians, vehicle manufacturers, automotive suppliers, mobility service providers, & policy makers, to debate the impact of intelligent mobility solutions on both personal and public transportation business models.
Day 2, on 29 June 2016 is a full day workshop feature debates, panel discussions, and interactive sessions.
