Scottish Aquaculture Innovation Centre (SAIC) launches call for mussel projects

The Scottish Aquaculture Innovation Centre (SAIC) is inviting academics at research institutions in Scotland to express their interest in working on innovative mussel projects.

The projects will focus on five key areas, all linked to the development and testing of new hatchery systems in Scotland:

  • genetic markers
  • live food
  • bacteriology
  • metamorphosis
  • settlement.

Each project offers an opportunity to work with key industry partners, and to demonstrate real-world impact.

Further details, and an application form, are available on the News section of the SAIC website.

Closing date for all applications is 1 September 2015.
