Could your company benefit from EU funding?

UK companies often overlook funding opportunities from European programmes, however, these are well worth considering.

There is a range of EU funding programmes that support business led innovation in agri-food sector.

Funding for plants and crops projects from Horizon2020

Horizon2020 is the largest EU programme specifically supporting research and innovation activities. With a current budget of €74.8billion, Horizon2020 can help your business to fund research and innovation activities that underpin a development of a new product, share developmental costs, access missing skills, find new partners, or break into a different market.

Several calls relevant to the Plants & Crops sector are due to open in October 2016. Knowing how long it takes to develop a good project, find partners, and write an application, we believe it is time to start planning now.

KTN is here to help

If you would like to explore more how your company can get involved, or if you have a good idea and are looking for partners, the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) can help you. We have a dedicated Horizon2020 Team who can help you to understand how the system works.

With our multidisciplinary network we can help you to find partners outside of agricultural sector, for example companies and academics working in food manufacturing, sensors, robotics, industrial biotech, etc. We can also signpost you to the leading academic groups that have relevant expertise and facilities, and experience in developing bids for EU calls and managing projects.

KTN is working closely with Enterprise Europe Network and National Contact Points. If you would like to access KTN help, please get in touch by sending us an email agrifood@ktn-uk.org.
