NSF awards $10M for crop genome data resources

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and Oregon State University have been awarded $10m by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to fund the development publically available genomic data resources for crop plants including corn, rice, wheat, barley, and Arabidopsis. These data sets will be a useful tool for plant geneticists, molecular and evolutionary biologists, and plant breeders.
