latest recording technologies.
Improvements in animal & plant breeding and agronomy & husbandry play critical roles in enhancing the efficiency of agricultural production systems and can be used to address a wide variety of challenges. In addition to basic biological efficiency, breeders can target traits related to product quality, disease resistance, GHG production, food safety and animal behaviour and welfare traits.
These improvements in efficiency will underpin responses to future Food Security challenges - feeding more people using fewer resources - and could make a major contribution to Living with Environmental Change.
