Discovery Awards: Seed funding for diagnostic tools to reduce misuse of antibiotics

The Longitude Prize is a £10M challenge to tackle to rising threat from antibiotic resistance.

In order to maximise the number and diversity of entrants to the Longitude Prize, the Longitude Committee has just launched their Discovery Awards  with a call for creative minds everywhere to apply for seed funding and develop their ideas for a transformative diagnostic test.

We need the best minds in the UK and around the world to work on this and find us all a diagnostic that will help reduce the misuse of antibiotics." - Dame Sally Davies, CMO for England

 

The deadline for applications to the Discovery Awards is midnight BST, 26 August 2016.
