Three Spanish companies are seeking international partners to participate in the upcoming BESTF+2 (Bioenergy Sustaining the Future 2) Initiative, which has a deadline of 10th February 2014 for outline proposals.
What is BESTF2?
BESTF2 is a network of national and regional ministries and funding organisations that wish to invest in industry-led bioenergy projects to meet their strategic aims as well those of the European Commission. The partners supporting this call are Germany, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Denmark and the United Kingdom.
The principal objective of this joint call is to fund public-private projects that de-risk bioenergy technologies at demonstration scale and encourage further private exploitation.
Who are the prospective partners?
ABENGOA BIOENERGY NEW TECHNOLOGIES is one of the leading companies in Europe in the development of new biomass technology for the production of ethanol and bio products. The want to participate in BESTF+2 in a project of bio fuel production form waste stream (municipal solid waste). Abengoa has a demo plant, and they want to use this installation. They would like to find international partners with knowledge in European legislation and commercial l issues.
ELCOGAS operates in Puertollano (Castilla la Mancha) a 335 MW Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) demonstration power plant (largest IGCC in the world using solid fuel in a single pressurised entrained flow gasifier). The want to use their installation and work in fuel diversification, carbon capture integration and improvement of systems performance based on experience in existing plant.
ALGAENERGY is a reference technology based company specialised in microalgae.
