Imaging is a vital technology for a large range of different sectors, be that medical, security related, automation, material testing, agricultural etc. It is advanced dramatically with sensor improvements and cost reduction, high-speed data transmission, computing power and software developments. 

This group to provides a forum for the community of imaging developers and users, to enable effective knowledge exchange and to provide support to organisations wishing to collaborate in imaging R&D with other UK organisations.

The three main challenge areas are shown below, although our work is by no means limited to these three areas, as can be seen from our work in the Special Interest Groups of Internet of Things, Smart DC, Smart Energy and the Connected Digital Economy Catapult group.
