The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) has refreshed its online platform to intelligently connect you to relevant events, funding, thought pieces and specialist staff to help your business innovate and grow.

You can discover content using your area of interest, from Defence Security to transport; from space to health – all major UK economic sectors are covered. Once you have selected your interests, using our intelligent tagging system, we will then display rich and relevant content related to your area, often from surprising sources.

The move also marks a closer alignment with our main funder, Innovate UK , with the website branding making a clear visual link. Knowledge Transfer Network is Innovate UK's innovation network partner, and also works with other funders to provide innovation networking services and fulfil our mission to drive UK growth.

Wales Medtech Launchpad

Innovate UK  is looking to invest £1m in new projects from small and micro businesses  working in innovative research and development projects centred around the emerging cluster of Medtech business  in South Wales as part of their Launchpad programme. We will be running an event to gain valuable insight to the programme and application process

'Launchpad' is for businesses grouped in and around the South Wales who are in the early stages of project development or companies who are looking to locate or collaborate with the area.

What are Launchpads

They aim to provide vital funding and business support to companies based in the cluster  or looking to locate or collaborate in the cluster to enable them to bring new projects to market faster. This will cover industrial research projects that support the development and commercialisation of innovative medtech products, processes or services

The first stage of the competition opens on 27 October 2014 and closes 10 December 2014 .
