The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) has refreshed its online platform to intelligently connect you to relevant events, funding, thought pieces and specialist staff to help your business innovate and grow.

You can discover content using your area of interest, from Defence Security to transport; from space to health – all major UK economic sectors are covered. Once you have selected your interests, using our intelligent tagging system, we will then display rich and relevant content related to your area, often from surprising sources.

Communities First STEM Day

Wrexham Glyndwr University

This event celebrates the STEM research being carried out by Wrexham Glyndwr University and local STEM companies.

A jam packed programme featuring hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) based activities, career and university information, and a fun-packed science show. The event is supported by the North and Mid Wales Reaching Wider Partnership.

Who should attend?

Year 10 students from Communities First areas with their teachers from schools in Wrexham and Flintshire. Pre-booking is essential.

STEM professionals wishing to engage the next generation with their work.

Benefits of attending?

Students attending this event will be inspired and encouraged to seriously consider further study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects. It is a chance to find out about studying at university and to take part in hands-on activities organised by STEM professionals. STEM professionals will have the opportunity to impart their knowledge to students and practice their skills in public engagement.
