The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) has refreshed its online platform to intelligently connect you to relevant events, funding, thought pieces and specialist staff to help your business innovate and grow.

You can discover content using your area of interest, from Defence Security to transport; from space to health – all major UK economic sectors are covered. Once you have selected your interests, using our intelligent tagging system, we will then display rich and relevant content related to your area, often from surprising sources.

Innovation & Knowledge Centre funding competitions

The IKC are running two funding competitions: Translational Proof of Concept in partnership with Arthritis Research UK; and a Translational Feasibility Fund, both open to any academic in the UK

Call for Submissions: Translational Proof of Concept Funding

A maximum £100,000 support per project (up to 5 projects) to accelerate exciting innovations that support the lives of people with arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Awards will be accepted from scientists and clinicians in UK universities, and will be judged on the clinical need, potential market opportunity and industry confidence to progress and support the technology to market.

Translational Feasibility Fund

£30,000 to support early stage translational research.

Three winning applicants will receive funding of up to £10,000 (FEC) from the IKC to enable a feasibility study, or Proof of Scientific Principle project, and will benefit from professional support throughout the study from staff at the IKC.

The competition is open to any academic in the UK including early stage researchers. Companies may also apply in partnership with an academic.
Ideas must be within the IKC’s scope, being regenerative devices and supporting technologies.
