Graphene and large scale energy storage

Graphene has significant potential in the energy sector across a range of applications.

Energy storage is an important challenge at both Grid and Localized scale with graphene the potential solution for low loss high capacity energy storage systems. It is equally important for ultra fast charging of EVs and potential for using EV batteries in-situ for grid support. An efficient solution in this area will enable the development of more agile and resilient grids at all scales.

If the science works the challenge will be scale up of the graphene processing and demonstration of reliable high capacity over many years of operation.
