Opportunity to meet Chinese children’s media content channels – London 4th July

 

UKTI is hosting a delegation of Chinese media organisations and digital platforms in central London on 4th July. With a focus on children’s media and animation there is an opportunity for UK content producers to meet and present to key staff.

 

China is the second largest economy in the world with a population of over 1.4 billion. The opportunities for trade and collaboration between the UK broadcast industry and the worldwide Chinese market are now open like never before.

 

The event will provide an insight into the rapidly expanding and increasingly technology enabled Chinese marketplace, and delegates will meet and hear from broadcasters, producers and media companies particularly specialising in children's content, including: 

                       

  • China Central TV (CCTV): Dual platform broadcaster accessible to more than one billion viewers.                        
  • TenCent: One of China’s largest and most used internet service portals with more than 600 million registered users           
  • SINA: Online media company for China and Chinese communities around the world with around 100 million registered users. Delegates can meet representatives of their Baby Channel                       
  • China Network Television (CNTV): A national web-based TV broadcaster
  • Golden Eagle: Hunan based cartoon satellite TV channel
  • KAKU: Beijing based cartoon satellite TV channel

 

Who should attend?

Producers of Children's content, UK digital and creative companies, broadcasters and distributors who want to find out more about the Chinese market.

 

The focus will be on introducing established business, both producers and distributors who are able to demonstrate significant potential for international exploitation of IP across multiple media sectors.
