Content Across Continents - connecting SW UK and Singapore

Unfortunately the opportunity below is only open to companies based in the South West.

The second version of the ground-breaking Content Across Continents initiative has now been launched in partnership between the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) and South West Screen.

Under the 2011 scheme Singaporean and British producers will be invited to submit joint proposals for the development of engaging video content which leverages the interactivity and versatility of new digital media platforms, internet channels and social media tools.

Five projects will be selected and awarded up to £10,000 each in development funding. The initiative will run through 2011, opening for applications in February with awards made in June at Screen Singapore.

Over the coming months more partners will be attached – including a tie up with HP Labs in Bristol and Singapore to access their cloud computing toolkits – as the scheme brings together the creative and technical strengths of the two industries to generate new and exciting content propositions.

The first UK meeting, linked by video conference to a simultaneous meeting in Singapore, will hear from experts in both countries to set the scene for potential applicants.

Setting the Scene - Wednesday 19 January 2011, 8.30am to 12noon?Venue: SWRDA, 2 Rivergate, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6EH

For clarity, I will be producing for SWS through my production company Parameter. To book a place or find out more about the CAC2 scheme contact
