Activision closure adds to fears for British games industry

Activision, the world's largest publisher of video games, has announced the closure of its Liverpool based development subsidiary, Bizarre Creations. See this Independent report for background.

 

Straightforward business decision off the back of a disappointing release or further evidence of the exodus of work and talent from the UK? I was discussing with the CEO of another games developer last week and her comment "everyone who is any good is moving to Canada" only supports the position of TIGA and others that it is the latter.
