Our objectives:

To establish atom interferometric gravity gradient sensor technology allowing 1 m E/Hz-1/2 sensitivity, three orders of magnitude more sensitive than current prototypes. 

To develop the first comprehensive noise model for atom interferometric sensors, enabling performance evaluation in commercial and fundamental physics applications in various environments. 

To create unique spatial analysis tools combining gravity gradient measurements with other sensors such as magnetic fields, acoustics, low-frequency electromagnetic and ground-penetrating radar. 

To use data mining and visualization software combining multi-sensor data into meaningful information.

To evaluate and potentially demonstrate gravity gradiometry for applications such as underground mapping in urban areas, subsea and at archaeological sites.
