Women continue to be under-represented in the financial services industry, especially in senior management positions. However, research in the areas of organizational psychology, management, and economics reveal that there are clear social and economic reasons why increasing gender diversity might be good for business. However, there are a number of barriers to achieving gender equality in the industry. Some of these barriers reside in psychology of individuals, others in the policy and practices of the industry, and yet others in the broader societal and cultural context. This seminar series will explore these barriers with expertise from academics from a range of disciplines and the experiences of leaders within the industry.
The Financial Services KTN presents a series of interactive seminars designed to provide a unique knowledge-exchange opportunity between members of the financial services industry and academics working in the area of gender diversity.
