This is a rare opportunity to lead a major project hosted inside an industry leading company, whilst developing your own engineering knowledge skills and interests. Based at Sevcon, Team Valley, Gateshead, you will work to the Company and University quality standards to provide support for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project to develop a ready for market innovative high voltage charger suitable for electric vehicles (EV). This will involve working independently and using initiative to research current leading edge techniques in battery charging and apply these to fulfil the needs of the project. Preparing reports and communicating the project findings is also a key responsibility.
 
Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum (£23-26K Salary per annum, depending on qualification)
