KTN Workshops at Innovate UK 2014

The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) are supporting this year’s event Innovate UK 2014, which is hosted by Innovate UK and UKTI on 5th & 6th November 2014 at the Old Billingsgate in London. The event brings together the most cutting edge innovators and truly inspirational business leaders to celebrate innovation and deliver a platform for conversations, partnerships, investment and support. And you are invited to be a part of the show!

The KTN will be providing 1-2-1 support during the event as well as hosting a number of seminar sessions including:

Day 1:

Why collaboration worked for us: Energy & Transport - attend this quick-fire session to hear from other companies who have managed to make the collaborative approach work for them. Speakers include Moixa, Phil Sharp Racing, WITT Energy, M-solv, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and OpenTRV Limited.

Why great things happen when digital and design collide - this session will explore how design methodologies developed in the creative industries are now being transferred to other sectors. Speakers include Ostmodern, FutureGov and Lancaster University.

How agri-food production can benefit from satellite and sensor technologies - this session will outline the opportunities for satellite and sensor technologies to drive innovation to benefit agri-food production. Speakers include the KTN and Kingshay.

Know your neighbours: Connecting with Europe - as well as an update on the Horizon 2020 programme and the differences compared with FP7, you will hear from three companies about their direct experience in European collaborative projects and the benefits in the short, medium and long term. Speakers include the KTN, Microsemi Semiconductor and AstraZeneca.

Day 2:

Why collaboration worked for us: Healthcare & HVM - this session will showcase some superb examples where collaboration has enabled new products, advanced materials and technologies supporting new techniques for surgery and healthcare. Speakers include the KTN, Accentus Medical, Baltex, Oxford Biomedica and OJ-Bio Ltd.

Get your foot in the door of global conglomerates - this session will give you a chance to hear from companies regarding their firsthand experience in 'finding a way in' and to discuss in open forum 'what works and what doesn't'. Speakers include Arcola Energy, Shadow Robot and the KTN.

Why collaboration worked for us: Digital Economy & Sustainability - this session will explore how the effective exploitation of data can help organisations drive new sustainable business opportunities, and overcome barriers to success. Speakers include Julie's Bicycle, We All Design and Mastodon C.
