The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) has refreshed its online platform to intelligently connect you to relevant events, funding, thought pieces and specialist staff to help your business innovate and grow.

You can discover content using your area of interest, from Electronics, Sensors, Photonics to transport; from space to health – all major UK economic sectors are covered. Once you have selected your interests, using our intelligent tagging system, we will then display rich and relevant content related to your area, often from surprising sources.

An example might be new satellite technology from the space sector that is applicable in the agri-food sector. KTN-UK.co.uk will help you form these unusual and valuable connections.

All content on the platform has been carefully curated by our team of innovation specialists – not by an automated algorithm – so you can be confident that KTN is connecting you to the most relevant cutting-edge information.

 

The move also marks a closer alignment with our main funder, Innovate UK , with the website branding making a clear visual link. Knowledge Transfer Network is Innovate UK's innovation network partner, and also works with other funders to provide innovation networking services and fulfil our mission to drive UK growth.

Localised Energy Systems - Event

 

Localised energy systems are one of many solutions to solve the need for an affordable resilient and sustainable energy system of the future that balances supply and demand appropriately; however delivering this presents challenges - technical, economic and social. The Welsh Government in partnership with the Technology Strategy Board would like to invite you to a workshop to hear views, contribute through your thoughts and discussions and begin to develop partnerships that help to solve challenges through new business opportunities. It will be an opportunity to network with businesses, universities and public sector organisations with an interest in this area. The TSB will also present on their programme of funding for collaborative research and development funding aligned to this area.

The event will also include an opportunity for organisations to put forward a 5 minute pitch – what could you bring to a potential project, what areas of work are you interested in? Please email Marcia Jones if you wish to pitch. There will also be a list of contacts and their areas of interest circulated prior to the event. If we could ask you to please supply a couple of lines on; capability you offer, partners you seek / capability you seek.
