Energy Efficient Computing Competition - Workshops 1 & 2

The first two workshops to support the Energy Efficient Computing - Feasibility Studies Competition were held on the 10th October in London and the 11th October in Daresbury.

Both events were opened by Jonathan Mitchener and Myrddin Jones describing the background to, and scope of, the competition.

Jeremy Bennett of Embecosm gave the keynote in London and Michael Gleaves of STFC gave the keynote at Daresbury.

Following these presentations there were round table discussions on the key points of the competition and some project ideas.

Several of the delegates were keen to find collaborators for the cometition - see Full Article for details.
