Applications for the next round of Spark are now being accepted

Design Council’s Spark is a £150k product innovation fund and 20-week mentoring programme supporting the UK's next great inventions.

Applications are now open and we are calling all those with great product ideas at prototype stage to enter for a chance to be selected to join the 20 week programme and to receive a share of the £150k innovation fund to take their product to market.

Applications can be completed online via the deadline is 23 November.

Applications will be whittled down to 12 product prototypes and the teams behind them will be selected to participate in a 20-week programme of mentoring, investment and support. From those who complete the programme, three finalists will be chosen to receive a share of the £150k fund to take their products to market. The winning product inventions from the first wave of Spark included new type of saddle, doorbell and umbrella. We’re now looking for the next wave of inventors with revolutionary product prototypes.

This innovation fund is unique and aims to find the next great British invention. Finalists who take their products to market will donate 5% of future sales revenue back into the innovation fund, fuelling a movement of revolutionary products for the UK and beyond.
