Workshop on Materials and Innovation

The 1st workshop of the European project InnoMatNet, coordinated by SPI, will take place at the Polytechnic University of Warsaw (Poland), on September 18th.

The main goal of "InnoMatNet - Networking of Materials Laboratories and Innovation Actors in Various Industrial Sectors for Product and Process Innovation", a project financed by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union, is to promote collaboration, knowledge transfer, and the creation of new alliances between materials researchers, industry (particularly the creative industry), and other innovation actors, in order to facilitate the development and marketing of new processes and products using innovative and environmentally sustainable materials.

The Workshop "Materials and Innovation-Crossroads of Future Challenges", which will take place during the European Materials Research Society’s Fall Meeting, aims to discuss and promote actions to improve current innovation processes in the materials area in Europe and bring together different stakeholders.
