The European Commission has published the much anticipated draft 2016/17 Work Programmes for Horizon2020, the largest ever EU Research and Innovation funding programme with an available budget of €79bn.
Circular economy topics are found in multiple work programmes, most notably:
· Cross-cutting topics work programme (includes a the “CIRC” topics)
· Societal Challenge 5 (Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials)
· NMPB (Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing)
