Presentations Now Available - Sustainable Value Chains Event, 8 October 2014, Manchester

Presentations Now Available - European Funding for Sustainable Value Chains, European Funding for Innovation in Sustainable Use and Supply of Resources

The KTN in Partnership with SusChem UK, held a conference on the opportunities for funding under Horizon 2020 for European Funding for Innovation in Sustainable Use and Supply of Resources on October 8, 2014 at the Freemasons Hall in Manchester. Over a hundred people registered for the conference.

Invited Speakers from the European Commission, Innovate UK, and KTN gave insights into the Societal Challenge 2 (Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the Bioeconomy) and Societal Challenge 5 (Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials) and opportunities for support.

In the afternoon session, delegates pitched their organisations to the audience and provided an overview of what they needed, as well as how they could help support other companies in product development, and the facilities and expertise they had to offer. There was also an excellent networking session to exchange business cards and ideas!

A complete information pack from the day has been put together in order to help facilitate collaborations and to provide necessary material so that delegates can review what was discussed at the event. Please do get involved with our discussion forum on the SusChem UK website, and speak with like-minded companies. Pitches and Topics of Interest will also be shared on the website to enable collaborations.
