Chemistry for Energy - Funding

European Funding Opportunities for modelling activity exist in the 2011 work programme of the FP7 European funding call. The key area is theme 4 (Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and New Production Technologies – NMP)

Examples of call titles are given below:

NMP.2011.1.2-1 Development and up-scaling of innovative photovoltaic cell processes and architectures to pilot-line scale for industrial application (Joint call with Energy) Funding Scheme: Large-scale integrating collaborative projects.

GC.NMP.2011-1 Advanced eco-design and manufacturing processes for batteries and electrical components
"Green Cars" (GC) – Topic implemented via a Joint Call between NMP, Transport and Environment. The Joint Call is organized by the Directorates NMP, Transport and Environment of DG RTD.
Funding Scheme: Large-scale integrating collaborative projects Detail will follow when the full text of funding call is publically released

General Funding Opportunities

Collaborative funding opportunities are available through themed calls from the TSB, Research Councils and other funding bodies. These will be publicised by the KTN when we become aware of them

• Technology Strategy Board (TSB)
• Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC)
• Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)
• Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
