European Funding – new Environment calls

The European commission has launched a new set of funding calls under its FP7 and in line with its Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan). A selection of the climate change related calls are below. For more information on any of these funding opportunities go to the EC Research and Innovation Portal



Environment Stage 1 (Deadline 16th October 2012)

This call supports the move towards a ‘Green economy’ by stimulating knowledge sharing relating to the environmental for policy, industry and society.


Environment Stage 2 (Deadline 16th October 2012)

Topics in this call relate to climate change including the impact that climate change could have on the ecosystem and how to mitigate the risks. Projects relating to sustainable use and management of land and seas are also eligible as are improving resource efficiency.


Energy Efficient Buildings (Deadline 4th December 2012)

This topic includes safe, energy efficient and affordable eco innovative materials for buildings including retrofitting and renewal of existing buildings for sustainable urban districts, control systems to monitor and improve energy performance and optimised designs for integration into a community energy system.


All collaborative projects submissions should include companies from at least 3 member states.
