CASE Studentship Open Competition Announcement of Opportunity

 

NERC invites applications to the CASE Studentship Open Competition. 

 

The scheme promotes partnership between eligible research organisations and public or private sector organisations, and enhances the training of the student who can spend between 3 and 18 months in a workplace outside the academic environment. The CASE partner should provide the impetus and initial requirement for the studentship and must supplement the student’s maintenance grant by at least £1,000pa.

 

The closing date for applications is 16.00 on 9 October 2012.

 

Studentships will be awarded by NERC in the following six priority areas: there is no ‘open’ element to the call in 2012:

 

1.       Water

2.       Marine renewable energy

3.       Food and agriculture

4.       Environmental monitoring

5.       Ecosystem services

6.       Climate services
