Job Description
Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) is one of DECC’s flagship programmes. We’re determined to make CCS a commercial proposition by the 2020s – and as Head of Technical for this area, you’ll play a big part in our success.
This commercial programme is moving into its next phase: the negotiation of multi-billion pound contracts. In this pivotal role, you’ll join our friendly, multi-disciplinary team and ensure that there is technical and commercial integration across our work. This will mean working directly with CCS developers, commercial, financial and technical advisors. You be responsible for considering and defining complex commercial policy decisions, using your technical and commercial expertise, and have a sensible approach to risk. This work is pioneering which means you’ll have an exciting opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge.
