EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Emergent Macromolecular Therapies - New Website to Promote Manufacturing Innovation

The EPSRC Centre opened in November 2011 and is a National Centre focused on delivering innovation in manufacturing research to assess emergent challenges facing the UK biopharmaceutical sector, and which impact its global competitiveness. It acts as the focus for a national network of leading users and academics in manufacturing and provides strong support for UK industry. It is hoped that in a short space of time it will become recognised as the primary centre for the creation, delivery and dissemination of decision-support tools to enable lifecycle optimisation of novel macromolecular therapies.

The EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Emergent Macromolecular Therapies (EPSRC Centre)recently launched its new website. Interested parties can visit for the latest news and upcoming events. Visitors to the website will find information about the EPSRC Centre; its vision, research, team profiles and various mechanisms available for engaging with the centre. There is also the facility to download issues of the ‘Bioprocessing Matters’ Newsletter and browse photograph galleries.

With the launch of the website, academic and industry stakeholders and the public now have access to the latest information on centre activities. Over the coming months, “the website will enable visitors to gain invaluable insight into our research and outreach activities through an easy-to-use online portal. This will actively encourage and foster long-term research partnerships and knowledge transfer between academics, industry and the public for mutual benefit. It will also bring to life the energy being invested in the EPSRC Centre and the numerous benefits to society of the research being conducted here.” said the EPSRC Centre’s Director Prof Nigel Titchener-Hooker.
