Industry 'Wish-List' and Capability Database for Microalgae

AB SIG and PHYCONET are developing an Industry 'Wish-List' and Capability Database for Microalgae to provide businesses and researchers with a clearer understanding of the molecules and/or functionality that end-users are seeking.

A Commercialising Microalgae Workshop was held on 16th June 2015 with 3 main objectives:

  1. Understand the molecules and/or functionality required by industry
  2. Determine if microalgae can  meet the requirements
  3. Develop a capability supply-chain for project consortia or new/additional business ventures

The Microalgae Capability Database

The spreadsheet (database) below arose from intelligence gained at the workshop. Microalgae stakeholders are invited to download the spreadsheet to use as a resource and also to add new data. The spreadsheet will be regularly updated as new information is received by the ABSIG.

How it works:

  1. Download the Excel database below by clicking on the image

  2. Fill in the gaps with additional molecules or functionality and any other additional information

  3. Add your initials next to any data in the table where you would like your expertise to be assigned
** Please use a different font colour to add your new data **

  4. Send your revised version of the spreadsheet to

  5. We will upload new versions here:

Version 3.0: Updated 15th December 2015
